Networking
Often network design is overlooked in designing solid systems.
The computers and the software get most of the attention.
But no amount of software patching can protect a poorly designed
network. A well-designed network prevents computers on the
network from interfering with each other in unexpected and
unwanted ways, and provides a technical barrier to persons
outside the network who wish to gain unauthorized access.
I've had the good fortune to work with one of the best in
the field, and I can bring the fruits of this ongoing relationship
to bear on many network design challenges.
